George Robb Neuert, born April 19, 1936 in Fort William, Ontario, passed away March 23, 2010 after a 3 year battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Robb is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Doris, daughter Shari Jane Van Mierlo (Ian) of Winnipeg and their three children, Tanya, Benjamin and Eva; son Jeffrey Robb Neuert (Nicole) of Williams Lake and their two children, Catrice and Shelby.

Robb enjoyed a 36 year career with Canadian Pacific Railway, taking an early retirement in 1991 from his position as Region Sales Manager, Ontario. Robb’s career, after 4 years in Thunder Bay, took the family from Winnipeg after 12 years, to Montreal for 9 years, Winnipeg again for 5 years, Vancouver for 3 years and Burlington, Ontario, for 3 years.

Doris and Robb loved to travel in their RVs, crossing all the way to Newfoundland in 1998 and to many location in the United States as snowbirds. They enjoyed 9 cruises to many places like the Panama Canal, Hawaii and New Zealand and Australia.

In his earlier years, Robb was a Kinsman in Winnipeg and Montreal for 13 years and in Williams Lake was an active member of the Cariboo Elks Lodge #239. Doris and Robb were also active members of the Cariboo Good Sam RV Club.

A Celebration of Robb’s Life will be held on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Compassionate Care Funerals, 180 Comer Street, Williams Lake with a time of refreshments and fellowship at the Funeral Home.
