George Middleton

October 6, 1925 - July 7, 2019
It is with deep sorrow in our hearts that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and great grandfather, George Middleton, on July 7, 2019 at Senior's Village, Williams Lake. He was 93 when he left this earth for his final resting place in that land where there is peace forevermore. He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Dorothea Gladys.
George was a missionary who served his Lord and Savior for 26 years in the land of Ethiopia. Later he returned to Canada where he founded Emmanuel International (EI) which is headquartered in Stouffville, Ontario, and International Coordinated Christian Ministries (ICCM) based in Williams Lake, BC. Both EI and ICCM bring God's message of eternal life, hope, help and healing to people in emotional, physical and spiritual need with the love of Jesus in areas around the world, including areas of political oppression where Christians are often persecuted. George will be greatly missed by people all over the world whose lives he has touched for the better.
He is survived by his daughters, Elsabet, Janet, and Maria, sons Mark and Mel, 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held this Sunday, July 21 from 4-6 at the Evangelical Free Church on 11th Ave in Williams Lake. Please join us for a time of fellowship and refreshments after the ceremony.
