Gebhard Hoelzler, 83 of Williams Lake, died December 27, 2017.

Gebhard was born October 29th, 1934 in a small village near Lindau, Germany.

Gebhard could accomplish anything he put his mind to.  At a very early age he helped his mom manage the family farm after his father passed away.  He went on to become a lineman electrician, working for several years in his home town.

Gebhard went on to complete Air Force basic training in Germany in 1954.  Shortly thereafter he traveled to Canada to work and send money home to his support his mom and three younger siblings.  He held several jobs in Williams Lake starting as an electrician and then learned carpentry. 

Gebhard eventually started his own construction company, Hoelzler Construction in 1980.  His talent, skill, hard work and dedication created a successful business that was passed on to his son Stefan.

Gebhard loved his family, home, pets and garden. In his spare time he enjoyed his music, making home movies, skiing, tending to his bees, walking his dog and playing with his grandchildren.

Gebhard is survived by his wife of 46 years Eva Hoelzler; his two sons and their spouses, Stefan and Crystal of Williams Lake and Mike and Patty of New Jersey; four grandchildren, Caprice, Lincoln, Logan and Emily; and his brother Anton Hoelzler of Germany.
