Quite a number of years working with the RCMP in McBride and Williams Lake as an auxiliary member. He retired to Savona after a short stint in Kamloops to raise Echinacea and latterly walnuts.
He is survived by his two sons, Allan (Barbara), Bradley
(Elaine), 4 grandchildren, Sandra Lachapelle (Sylvain)
Steven Ward, Spencer Dill, Conor Macloclen (Dill) two great
grandchildren Gabriele Lachapelle & Julian Lachapelle. His
friend and wife Carley. One sister, Sharon Hawkins (Ron),
brothers Bill (Irene), Ed (Karen), and Russ (Darlene). There
is to be no formal service at his request, but a gathering of
friends and family will take place later in the year.
We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to those friends
who visited him and kept his spirits up, he was always glad
to see them. To Dr. Kahn who was so kind and helpful, Dr.

Last but not least the Ward family would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful nurses in Ashcroft Hospital, their kindness to both Gary and his family will not be forgotten, they made things easier for all.
