It is with a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Frederick William Stirman of Williams Lake, B.C.

Fred was born in 1925 in Vancouver BC. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces and after his service time, he worked on the B.C. Electric Company in Vancouver. About 1957, Fred joined the Pacific Great Eastern Railway in North Vancouver as a carman Helper and stayed through the British Columbia Railway and B.C. Rail Name changes. Fred retired in 1990 and moved to Williams Lake with his son, Buster and lived in the same location up until his death on October 22, 2018.

Fred was a kind and gentle man who was well liked by all who met him. Fred always put others first and never had a bad word to say about anyone. Fred is Survived by his loving Sons, Harold (Buster) Robert (Bob and wife Ann.) Bud (Wife Carla) and Daughter Judy (Husband Seppo) Fred leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. Fred is pre- deceased by his eldest son, Frederick William (Bill) and his lifelong close friend- Alannah Fulbrook (Jean Marjorie).

Many Thanks to Dr. Paul Magnussen and the staff of the Cariboo Memorial Hospital for making Dad's Last Months as comfortable and happy as it was.
