June 25, 1944 - June 16, 2022
Frances (Fran) June Fulton passed on June 16th, 2022 in Williams Lake, B.C. at the age of 77.
Fran is survived by her loving children, Allison (Curt) Levens and Graham Fulton; older brother Jim (Heather) Alton of Courteney, BC and her younger brother Harry (Sue) Alton of Princeton, BC. She also left behind her four grandkids that she adored; Brooke, Boston, Aiden and Kael. She is preceded in death by her father Sam Alton and mother Ivy Alton.
Fran was born in Ladysmith, BC on June 25, 1944 and spent most of her school years in Kamloops. After moving to Williams Lake in 1970, Fran worked for a brief period at the Court Registry and the Royal Bank before settling in at the Ministry of Environment until her retirement. It is here she made many of her lifelong friendships.
Fran had a zest for life, which made her recent years of less-than-ideal health a struggle. However, she would light up every time she got together for a family event, and always loved to ask the grandkids about their school, friends, sports and to inevitably comment on how tall they were getting.
Fran loved to travel and was fortunate to see a large part of the world, including the Caribbean, Australia and much of Europe, especially the UK (usually with partner-in-crime Anne Marie Crosby). She also enjoyed participating in a variety of sports. She bowled at a young age in Kamloops and continued to enjoy the game into adulthood, she played funball with the MOE team for many years and even took up soccer (playing for the vaunted Woodland Gems) and downhill skiing as an adult (with varied results).
A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday July 16th at 2pm at 99 Fairview Drive in Williams Lake (the Levens household). All are welcome to attend and celebrate Fran's life with some good food, a drink and a great story, just as she would have enjoyed.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Canadian Lung Association.
