Faye Bliss

June 30, 2003

Faye Lorraine Bliss, beloved wife of Ron Bliss passed away suddenly at Bluff Lake, June 30, 2003 of a heart attack.

Faye suffered her first attack two-and-a-half years ago and had to give up her job as a postal carrier, a job she enjoyed, as she loved the outdoors and the friends she made at the mailboxes.

Her greatest joy was when she and Ron could go lake fishing, which they were able to do the past two years, Palmer Lake being her favourite.

Faye was a great fishing lady and nearly always caught the bigger fish.

Faye was born in Vancouver, January 26, 1946. She lived in many parts of B.C. until she met and married Ron in Williams Lake 25 years ago.

Faye was a busy person; she worked at doing various jobs, and spent many years as a bank teller in 100 Mile House and Williams Lake.

When she retired from the bank she worked in a gift and candle store, a job she took great joy in doing.

Faye liked pretty things and had a house full of candles. When the stores closed their doors Faye took the job as a rural mail carrier.

Faye made the best of every day, enjoying time with family and going to coffee, lunches and walks in the park with friends.

Faye really enjoyed the years she had working, but Faye just loved to be on the go whether it was to Expo with Jack or down town shopping.

Faye did lovely crochet work and was a whiz at a jig saw puzzle, she always had a crossword near by and looked forward to a game of scrabble, Faye enjoyed collecting but the collection that brought about her greatest joy was that of her frogs, big ones, little ones she cherished them all.

One of Faye’s happiest times was the time spent with the ladies of the Eastern Star, Princess Pine Chapter.

Each week Faye looked forward to the meetings with much enthusiasm and excitement. Faye loved to treat the ladies to her home baked goodies.

Faye’s last weekend was a happy one, fishing at Bluff Lake with Ron and friends Paul and Ann Hoyer.

Sadly she passed away, Monday, June 30, 2003.

Many relatives and friends came and joined in a reception for Faye at the Seniors Activity Centre July 4, 2003.

Loved ones left to cherish Faye’s memory are husband Ron, sons Terry (Corrina) and Marty; grandchildren, Colton, Jaye, Erin; father Alex, mother Jean; sisters, Rosalie (Harvey), Deborah (Graham), Ruth, Gerrie (Ray), and Sandy; mother-in-law June; sister-in-law Lorraine (Darrell); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Faye was predeceased by her birth mother Dorothy, sister Edith, and father-in-law Jack.

Loved with a love beyond all telling, missed with a grief beyond all tears.

To the world she was just one. To us she was the world.
