Better known as Elaine, Mom, grandma and great grandma
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elaine Warttig (nee Qualie) on Monday, January 10, 2022. After a short battle with cancer she passed peacefully with family by her side.
She was predeceased by her husband Bert in 1981, her father Maurice in 1997 and her mother Dorothy in 2005. She survived by her four children Warren (Valerie), Mark, Neil and Tanya (Brent), five grandchildren; Brianne, Brook, Hayden, Jackson, Cameron and one great-grandson Echo and her brother Clarke (Diane).
One thing for sure about Mom is you never had to worry about what she was thinking. She was generous, strong and an incredible role model. Mom was a passionate defender of her kids even when we didn't always behave as well as we should have. We always knew we were loved, and will miss her terribly.
As per Moms wishes, she will be cremated and placed next to her late husband Bert in the Williams Lake cemetery. In lieu of flowers please donate to the SPCA, Moms favourite charity.
