Those we love never die they have just gone on ahead.
Doug was born in Duncan, B.C. and at the age of one moved to a logger camp South Bentick till six then onto Bella Coola.
From there he went to school and graduated and went on to become a lawyer. He lived several years in Whitehorse then returned to Bella Coola in 1987.
His parents Alfred & Mary Pelton passed away in Bella Coola in 1997.
He leaves behind two sisters Jeannie Brekke and Mona Murray. Nieces and nephew, Tammy Ratcliff, Aprile, Candace and Trevor Brekke. His children Elspeth, Emily, Cedric and Henry.
A celebration of life will be held in Bella Coola in the spring or summer 2019.
