After a courageous battle with cancer, we are saddened to announce the passing of our mom in Williams Lake.
Born in High Prairie, Alberta she lived in many places before finally settling in Williams Lake. She always enjoyed school, excelling academically and loved team sports the most.
After school she worked for the Ministry of Forests and as a single parent raised three children. She continued to play sports as an adult and encouraged us to keep active by enrolling us in sports such as swimming, soccer, baseball, or whatever else she could find for us to do. As we grew we were included in the sports teams she played on by joining volleyball and baseball. She loved to swim at the lake and play family board games. Her favourite was crib and loved to play anyone who would take her on. She never worried about winning; it was the togetherness she cared about most. Mom had a great sense of humour and an amazing ability with numbers.
Remembering and celebrating Donna's life are her three children; Bob (Michelle), Cory (Kim), and Riki(Jeremy), 10 grandchildren; Devin, Laura, Jimmy, Joshua, Nolan, Ryan, Nickolas, Reid, Corbin, and Ethan, and also her father Ken (Ellie), sister Shirley (Larry), brother Dennis, and sister Kathy (Bill). Donna is predeceased by her mother, Nesta.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends and will be forever in our hearts.
