In loving memory ~
Donna Jean Milner passed away peacefully on November 11 after a short battle with cancer. The sadness of her passing is blurred by the joy of remembering her life. Unafraid, undeterred, she was a realtor, a writer, a restauranteur,a traveller and a friend. Most of all she was a caring mother, doting grammie, loving sister and devoted wife.
Donna deeply loved her home town of Williams Lake. A resident for fifty years, she was involved in the Association for Community Living, first as a volunteer, then as a board member for 20 years. Donna also started up our Chimes Choir in 2005 and volunteered with the choir until 2019. The Chimes Choir continues to be extremely popular and has performed at local events and at the Inclusion BC AGM, in front of a national audience.
Quiet in her accomplishments, she was a role model for those around her, a lesson in what could be done when one sets a mind to it.
Donna died in her home, in the presence of those who loved her, and she will be dearly missed. Her passing was eased by Monique, an End of Life Doula, who was by her side as she moved into the next chapter.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Peace of Mind Campaign, Kordyban Lodge, which has provided a home-away-from-home for cancer patients and their caregivers during treatments (1100 Alward Street, Prince George, BC, V2M-7B1).
