We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Donna Fay Rushton. She is survived by her partner of 16 years Brian Lewis, sons Matthew (17), Emmett (4), Carter (2), parents Joyce and Vernon Rushton, brothers Terry Kaulback and Dan Rushton, and niece & nephew Shayla Mortensen and Harley Kaulback. As well as many extended family members and friends that were also family.
Born May 7th 1982 in Truro, Nova Scotia, Donna spent her childhood and teenage years on the East Coast. Later on she moved to BC and spent the second half of her life in the Cariboo. She lived in both Williams Lake and Quesnel since moving to BC and had recently moved back to Quesnel where her and Brian planned to raise their children. Donna was a loving and caring mother, wife, daughter, sister, auntie, niece, friend, and manager. She was a well-known and respected manager in both cities working for Warehouse One and touched many lives in her 36 years on this planet.
Anyone that knew Donna will always remember her smile and the laughter she brought with her everywhere she went. She was many things, but her kindness and compassion stood out above the rest. Donna Fay will be deeply missed by many and she is forever in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held in Donna's honour at the longhouse (located above the Stampede Grounds) Friday April 12th, 2019 @ 1:30 pm. The service will be followed by a reception with coffee and snacks.
