The family of Donald Gibson is saddened to announce his passing on January 21, 2023, at the young age of 80.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Barb Gibson. Daughter Toni (Bee) Hooker, son Don Jr. (Sherri) Gibson, son Russell (Debbie) Gibson, daughter Janice (Dave) Laurie and daughter Susan (Jared) Ostrom. "Grumpa" will also be terribly missed by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Don and Barb moved from the lower mainland up to Williams Lake in January 1973 for work and a better lifestyle. Don was employed in the forest industry most of his working life and retired from Merrill Wagner/ Weldwood after 32 years.
In his retirement he enjoyed welding, fabricating and sharing his wisdom with the many people who would swing by the shop. Through spring, summer and fall his time was spent out at Big Lake watering, mowing and relaxing with family & friends.
He will be extremely missed!
