The family of Don sadly announce his passing. Though we miss him he is now at peace and has joined loved ones in Heaven. His life was overflowing with the love of friends and family and many wonderful memories. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish, camp, walk and build huge campfires! He also loved to travel and explore, especially the trips to Maui where he enjoyed the sun and the ocean. As per dads wishes there will be a celebration of his life in the spring in Williams Lake and Kelowna.
His wife Janice was waiting for him with open arms. He is survived by his two daughters Ann Ottenbreit and Faye (Ken) Sheldon; his sisters Carol and Ruth and predeceased by his brothers Elmer and Mervin. Dad had so many special people in his life we cannot thank them all enough for all of the support and love over the years. We also have much gratitude to the renal nurses, physicians and hospital staff. The care and concern for dad is very appreciated and helped him through his journey.
I am home in Heaven, Oh so happy and bright,
There is perfect joy and beauty, In this everlasting life.
All the pain and grief is over, Every restless tossing passed.
I am now at peace forever, Safely home in Heaven at last.
