It is with sadness that the family of Donald Stanley Farquharson announces his peaceful passing on September. 15, 2016 at the Williams Lake Senior’s Village at the age 92.

We would like to thank all those at the Senior’s Village for caring for Don with compassion. Don was born March 5, 1924 to Nelson and Mae Farquharson and was the eldest of 3 children. He grew up in North Vancouver and then served in the 2nd World War, serving front line aircraft and was present during D-Day. Returning to Canada, Don married his sweetheart, Joan Symmes. They raised their 2 boys, James and Dennis, at the coast and later retired to Horsefly in 1978. He continued his passion of model airplane building, fishing and hunting in Horsefly.

He leaves behind his 2 sisters (Betty White and Lois McClellen), his 2 sons James (Geraldine) and Dennis, his grandchildren Kay (Stephen), Ginny, Kyle, Justin (Amber) and one great grandchild Piper.

There will be a family gathering at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of B.C. or the charity of your choice.
