It is with great sadness that the family of Don Fletcher (Fletch) announces his passing on Friday, September 16 2016, at the age of 82 years, ending his long battle with throat cancer.

Born in Duncan, BC, in 1934, Don worked for BC Hydro for 38 years, moving all over the province, and finally settling in Williams Lake in the early 1960s. He was a proud member of the Power Pioneers. In his retirement his greatest joy was working with the crew for Shuster and the #77 team.

Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Lillian (Lil) and his children, Karin (Adrian) Preece, and David (Mutsuko) Fletcher, and his grandsons, Kaito, Takuma, and Haruki.

A special thank you from his family to his Doctor, Nurses and Care-Aides who helped us keep him at home with us as long as possible. We couldn’t have done it without you.

By his request there will be no formal service. There will be a celebration of life for family and friends at a later date.

Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Don to the BC Cancer Foundation or a local charity of your choice.
