March 3, 1952 - December 20, 2019
The passing of David Leonard Johnson (born March 3, 1952) on December 20, 2019 left a sad gap in the lives of his family and friends.
Dave was born in Edmonton and lived with his family on their farm in Ryley, Alberta. When he was six years old his family moved to Terrace, BC where he grew up and lived for most of his life.
Dave worked as a construction worker and cabinetmaker and made many friends in the community. He married Anne in 1977. They had two sons, Lee and Len, who Dave spoke of with love and pride. In 2014 he and Anne settled in Williams Lake.
Dave was a kind, gentle and understanding man with a wonderfully unique perspective on life, a keen intellect and a superb sense of humour. He loved to read, design woodwork projects, enjoy classic country music and spend time with his family and friends. Dave loved animals and enjoyed providing a loving environment to many rescue dogs over the years.
Dave is pre-deceased by his mother Mildred (Pitcher) and father Leonard Johnson. He will be profoundly missed forever by his wife of 43 years, Anne Johnson and his two sons Warren Lee Johnson (Siobhan) and Joshua Lennard Johnson (Alex), who loved him dearly. His two sisters Carol Tulpar (Murat) and Doris Johnson (Dan) deeply mourn their only brother.
Dave passed peacefully on December 20, 2019 with family by his side. He touched our lives immeasurably and we will keep him in our hearts until we meet again.
