August 22, 1947 - June 3, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Daryl Salmon announce his passing in Likely, BC on June 3, 2021.
Daryl was born August 22, 1947, in Vancouver, BC, to Harry Hulbert Salmon and Rita Marie (Porier). Daryl resided in Likely most of his life and he worked for 25 years at Mount Polley, as a millwright.
Daryl enjoyed life to the fullest and he was passionate about fixing up old hot rods, motorbikes, woodwork, fishing, and a good drink of rum with all his friends. He was a mentor to all us "kids".
He will be remembered by all for his colorful sense of humor, his stories and open opinions and advice, but best of all by his friendship.
Daryl is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Marilyn. Son Jay (Wendy) of Williams Lake, and daughter Jodi (Robert) of 108 Mile Ranch and grandchildren Zack, Wyatt, Reece and Morgan. Marilyn's children, Rosamae Pejidoro (Aaron), Lia & Emma of Prince George, and Keymar, Crisanta, and Renante of the Philippines. Sister, Kathleen (George) Knowell of Kitchner, BC.
He was predeceased by Marilyn's daughter Rena in 2018.
There will be a celebration of life when the COVID restrictions are lifted. His ashes will be spread in the ocean, in the Philippines, near Lyn's hometown. In honor of Daryl, Lyn's family will do the 40th Day celebration, in the Philippines, as their Catholic tradition.
RIP Daryl, and may we see you racing high in the sky in a 1965 Shelby Mustang.
