It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darryl Ambrose Davies on February 11th, 2022, in Williams Lake, BC.
Born and raised in Casino NSW, Darryl and his young wife Sylvia experienced a series of notable adventures that brought them to Canada in 1974. Eventually they chose Williams Lake to settle down and raise their family. Darryl was very much community focused, giving countless hours and whole-hearted dedication to organizations he strongly believed in, holding positions in the IWA, School District 27, and the Williams Lake Minor Hockey Association. Never having the opportunity, himself to play hockey, it was a passion that he fully embraced as a volunteer and spectator; in his later years, he travelled with the Stampeders on the team bus to numerous games and tournaments. Above all, Darryl will be remembered most for his love of conversation, long lasting friendships, and acts of compassion to those who were dealt less fortunate cards in life.
Left to carry on his memory and spirit of kindness are his wife of 49 years, children Roxanne (Jason), Lachlan (Cherrie) and six grandchildren (Nolan, Ailis, Harmony, Brenna, Hudson, and Rylan.)
