In Loving Memory ~

Survived by his loving wife Linda Pitre. His four children, Trevor (Joelle) Pitre, Tanya (Kurtis) Hemmerling, Sandy (Joshua) Erickson, Kimberly (Michel) Brule and his four grandsons: Nicholas (Taliah) Pitre, Jacob Pitre, Lincoln Brule, and Wyatt Brule. His father Placide Pitre, and his sister Linda Justus (Gord).

Dan was predeceased by his mother Anna Pitre nee Aucoin.

Dan was born to Placide and Anna Pitre in Minto NB in the summer of 1953. They settled first in the small community of Enterprise, 20 kms from Williams Lake, BC. Eventually they moved into Williams Lake and made that their home raising both Dan and Linda there. Dan attended school in Glendale and later went to Williams Lake Secondary.

Dan had an adventurous spirit that lead him in his younger years from the far corners of BC to the wilds of Manitoba. In his young days Dan made many good friends and memories. During this time, he would go on to marry and have four children.

Dan had a great love for working and vehicles. Although, we can't be quite sure, it is estimated that he owned well over 200 trucks, and travelled the world around at least twice. He had more than 1 million miles under his belt. Dan's work on the pipeline took him from BC to India. He loved to travel, his favorite country was Vietnam, he loved the people and of course the food.

He met his wife Linda in 2014, they settled and made their home in Dawson Creek.

He was loved by those he worked with and adopted many that he affectionally called his "work kids."

As a family we would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Dawson Creek Hospital.

Dan leaves behind a great legacy and will be dearly missed both personally and professionally.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the BC Cancer Society.
