It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Constance Marie Penney. Connie passed away peacefully in her home in the early hours of November 19, 2023, with her children by her side.
Connie was born in New Westminster. In her early 20s, she spread her wings, moving cross-country to Ontario, where she met Howard Penney. They were married in 1958. In the summer of 1960, Connie and Howard moved back to the lower mainland with their 2 young children, Monica and Debra. Barbara came along in 1962. Williams Lake became their forever home in 1966. Mark was born in 1974.
Connie is survived by her children, Monica Ferguson, Debra Rosse, Barbara Penney, and Mark (Micki) Penney; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.
Connie was pre-deceased by her husband, Howard. Mom Nora, her stepfather Alphonse Gobeille, Sons-in-law Keith Ferguson and Brent Rosse.
Special thanks to Dr. Van Der Merwe, ER Staff, Palliative Care Nurses, and Home Care Aides for their compassionate care and kindness, her Sacred Heart Family and all those who offered prayers on her behalf; she felt your love.
A prayer service will be offered at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Williams Lake. Tea Social to follow.
