April 3, 1926 - February 17, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clifford Stinson in his 92nd year of life. Cliff passed away peacefully in his home of over 40 years.

Cliff was born and raised in Virden Manitoba. At the age of 16 he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army and arrived overseas on his 17th Birthday. He was posted to the R.C. Signal Corps as a dispatch rider and took part in the D-Day operations in Juno Beach, France.

Cliff lived life to the fullest with a keen sense of humour, he had many amazing stories to tell and adventures right up until the end of his life. He loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the Williams Lake Rod & Gun Club. He shot his last deer in November 2017 at the age of 91 and was awarded 1st place in the Williams Lake Sportsmen's Association banquet for a 24.5 lb. Spring Salmon he caught this past summer.

A special thank you to Lloyd Como and Mike Harty for enabling him to continue hunting and fishing in his later years. We like to think he has gone to his happy hunting ground in the sky.

Last but not least he was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 72 years.

Cliff is survived by his two daughters, Heather (Kevin) Kirby, Wendy (George) MacKay, 4 granddaughters, 7 great grandchildren and his special lady friend Elsie Pratt.

Celebration of Life for Clifford John Stinson will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 at the Royal Canadian Legion from 11 - 2.
