Walker, Christopher Daniel passed away July 4th, 2016, in Cariboo Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with spinal cancer.


Chris was born to George and Sandra Walker in Fort Nelson, BC, on August 10th, 1971. He spent his childhood years in Prince Albert, SK, and spent close to 20 years in La Ronge, SK, where he began his career as a volunteer firefighter. Chris met the love of his life through his work as a firefighter and hers as a paramedic. In 2008, they relocated to Williams Lake, BC, where Chris immediately became a part of the WLFD family. Over the years, they settled into their home and work, and raised their family together. Chris’s employment included managing The Source and being a warehouse worker at Tolko and Gibraltar Mine.


Chris is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Dron; his children, Shandi Walker-Brown of Edmonton, AB, and Jennica, Tian, and Alexander of Williams Lake, BC; his brother Russell (LeeAnn) of Prince Albert, SK; mother-in-law Carol Dron; sister-in-law Janelle Dron; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents George (2003) and Sandra (2008), and his father-in-law Perry Dron (2016).


A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 10th, at 1pm at the Elks Hall followed by a reception at the Williams Lake Fire Hall.
