1949-2020 ~ In 1996 Bob Neufeld was given a terminal diagnosis. 26 years later on September 25/20 after years of chronic pain he was welcomed into his forever home, by God, and received his complete healing.
Bob was born in Abbotsford in 1949. Raised in a Christian home, he personalized his faith in God in his early years.
When Bob was a teenager, his dad taught him carpentry. Working with him after school and on weekends, Bob developed a strong work ethic. Bob began Sprucelee Construction in Williams Lake with his high school buddy, Gordon Mierau in 1972. In 2014 Bob retired after a successful business partnership of 46 years.
Bob met Adina in 1969 and was certain she dated him and later fell in love with him because of his "souped up" car. However 5 decades of marriage have proved it went much deeper than that.
He valued family life and was intentional with making memories. Bob felt it was crucial that his grandchildren share his values of life; faith, integrity, and generosity.
His family grew as his sons all married local girls; Kevin to Tina Bartel (Kaylee, Kian, Kaira), Bryan to Vanessa Voth (Zack, Kate, Sara, Ben) and Marvin to Tasha Langford ( Niomi, Jesse).
From big family vacations, summers on the lake, or quick weekend visits to his kids around the province, Bob's family was a priority.
Bob's faith was a life style, clearly demonstrated in many hidden acts of kindness and generosity as well as faith and vision. One of his passions was Camp Likely, a wilderness camp, where children are taught to make positive life choices. Bob spent many, many hours developing and maintaining the camp.
Even in the face of his cancer diagnosis Bob held on to his joy and faith in God. His life was marked by gratitude and a desire to bless others.
Mourning his passing are Adina, his wife of 50 years, his sons, their spouses and his beloved 9 grandchildren of whom he was so proud.
In lieu of flowers, a bursary has been set up for ongoing Leadership training for Camp Likely. Should you choose to partner in this ministry, the link is: http://camplikely.com/donate/leadership-bursary/
