Bernice Marion Garbutt passed away on December 8, 2018 at age 71.
She had a huge loving and generous heart. She was probably the most family oriented member of the family. Those that knew her know that most of her life she suffered on and off, mainly on, of severe mental illness that often would not let her be at ease with herself or others. If it is possible, we hope she can see things clearly and peacefully now. She also had a cunning sense of humour.
Predeceased by Mother Katherine (Kay) Garbutt and Father Wally Garbutt. Survived and dearly missed by brothers George (Diane) and Jim (Shane), Son Chris Borgfjord (Tara), Grandchildren Brandi Rauschenberger (Brandon), Michael (Bailey Yochmans), Kelsey, Maddison and Brayden Borgfjord. Great Grandchildren Abigail Rauschenberger and Mackenzie Borgfjord and Nephew Greg Garbutt and Niece Regan Lal.
The family would like to express much gratitude to the many workers in the mental health and medical fields that monitored Bernice and helped her live as independently as she did.
A graveside service will be announced at a later date.
