December 7, 1954 - March 18, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Barry Dale Funk must announce his sudden passing in Victoria, BC on March 18, 2019, at the age of 64. Barry suffered a severe stroke and was in the care of his medical team and family by his side at his passing.

Barry was born on December 7th,1954 in Vancouver , BC. He moved from Vancouver to Horsefly, BC with his parents Leslie & Carol (Meek) Funk and his siblings Sue, Brenda, & Danny in 1963 when Barry was just 9 years old. Barry met and married his childhood sweetheart Linda (Purjue) Funk on July 17, 1976 and they had two children Brad, & Jody. They remained in the Cariboo their whole married life and settled in 108 Mile House. Barry ran a successful business, Cariboo Custom Grading, with his father, then after his father's passing remained the sole owner and operator of the Grading company with the help and support of his wife Linda. He retired a few years ago and he and Linda were able to enjoy some great vacations together to Hawaii, California, Arizona, Utah, and many fishing trips all over the Cariboo including several trips to Bella Coola.

Barry is survived by his loving wife Linda, and son Brad (Terry Barber), daughter Jody (Chris Harder), and Brad and Terry's son Isaac Funk who is Barry's adored grandson. He is also survived by his sister Sue Hall and many loving family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Les & Carol, sister Brenda, & brother Danny.

A celebration of life will be held at the 150 Mile House hall 3038 Pigeon Rd.,150 Mile House, BC on Sunday March 24th, 2019 at 1 pm. Food will be provided. Come and join with stories and memories of Barry. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
