Arthur Schellenberg
1938 - 2011
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Art Schellenberg on June 22, 2011 after a lengthy battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He leaves to mourn his wife of 51 years, Joyce, sons Randy (Debbie), Sam (Lena), Joe (Tammy) and daughter Suzanne (Danny). Grandchildren Alex, Kyle, Josh, Chantelle, Kevin, Matthew, Jordan, Daniel, Nicole and baby Christian Arthur will miss their Grandpa. Also brother David Schellenberg and sister Eleanor Scott. Art is pre-deceased by children Russell and Julie in 1971, parents Jack and Jean Schellenberg, infant grand daughter Rae Anne Schellenberg, brother Noel Schellenberg and sister Evelyn Thompson.
Art served in the leadership position as a 4H leader in Williams Lake and as a leader in the United Church and Elks in the Okanagan Valley, the Kamloops area and Williams Lake.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 5 at 11 am at St. Andrew’s Church at 1000 Huckvale Place in Williams Lake with Rev. Jenny Carter officiating. Funeral services in care of Compassionate Care Funeral Home.
