In Loving Memory (1943-2024) ~

Antonio (Tony) Camba was born in Colvilha Portugal to parents Alberto and Emilia of St Jorge da Beira. Tony grew up in the small village of St. Jorge and in his early teens became a welder, during this time is when he met the love of his life Maria.

During his 20's Tony did communications with the Portuguese Army in Angola, Africa for four years, He kept in touch with Maria sending her love letters and notes.

After his time with the Army, Tony returned home and married Maria in July 1967, Tony and Maria had their daughter Maria Helena (Lena) in March 1968 and Antonio Jr (Tony) in 1969.

In 1972 the family made the great trek to Williams Lake, BC. Tony put his welding skills to work with BC Rail and other odd jobs before being hired on at Jacobsons Bros Sawmill in the mid 70's as a welder in the truck shop. Tony stayed at the sawmill through multiple name changes and retired from Tolko Creekside in 2008.

Sadly, after a long battle with cancer the love of his life Maria passed away on April 6th, 2017.

Tony passed peacefully on March 4th, 2024 with his family at his side. Tony will be deeply missed by his children Lena (Sam) Tony (Keri) Grandchildren Josh (Shay) Daniel (Cheyenne) Megan, Melissa (Tyler) Mataya.

The family would like to thank the staff at Deni House for Tony's care and making a difference in his life.
