Anne Murray Bennett, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022, at the age of 93.
Born September 12, 1929, in the family home in Ratter Corner, N.B., she was one of eight children born to Scottish immigrants James and Elsie Mackenzie.
She married Raymond Bennett, and they built their home and started their family of four children in Sussex, N.B.
In 1969 they moved to B.C. and settled in Williams Lake. Anne was very active in the United Church. She loved to quilt and would knit baby sets and slippers for family and the hospital gift shop. She loved to travel and was very proud to say she had been to sixteen countries.
She was predeceased by her husband Raymond; her parents, and siblings; James Mackenzie, Jean Mackenzie, George Mackenzie, Donald Mackenzie, Elsie Mitton, Roderick Mackenzie, and her son-in-law Alan Gosse.
She is survived by her children; Esther, Wendy (Tim), Lorna (Randy) and Dan (Faith). Her sister Janet Eldridge, and grandchildren; Jacqueline, Carla, Joe, Norma, Michelle, Raymond, Nicholas, Francis and Travis, great-grandchildren Eric, Dakota, Portia, Zachary, Ella, Aiden, Tzadoc, Carson, Landon, Nathalie and Manon. Great-great-grandchildren; Novah and Emilia, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A heartfelt "thank-you" to the doctors and staff at the Williams Lake Seniors Village for their compassion and care.
