The family of Anna Rabie is saddened to report her passing in Salmon Arm on August 16, 2017.


Anna lived in Williams Lake from 1961 until 2000, when she retired to Salmon Arm to help care for her mother. She was a secretary and bookkeeper at various places including the Cariboo Lumber Manufacturing Office, Sid Pigeon Agencies and the Royal Canadian Legion. Anna was a dedicated volunteer for the Legion Ladies Auxiliary.


She had spent two terms in the Air Force as a Radio Operator at both Trenton Ontario and Whitehorse, Yukon.


Anna was pre-deceased by her parents, Louise and George Rabie, her brother John and 3 nieces.


She was survived by her brothers Art and Allan, and sister Clara (Elton) Anderson of Salmon Arm, and her sister Kay (Earl) Mellish of Williams Lake, and ten nieces and nephews.


A service will be held for her upstairs at the Williams Lake Legion on Thursday August 31 at 11:00am. This will be followed by a tea.
