It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad, Grandpa, and friend, Andre Lachapelle.
Andre was predeceased by his loving wife, Estelle. He is survived by his sons, Michel, Daniel and Sylvain, grandchildren Darren, Lacey, Anika, Gabriele, and Julian and his daughters- in-law Laura, Sandi and Wanda.
Andre was the youngest child in his family and the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Andre moved his young family from Amos, Quebec to Williams Lake in 1973, ready for adventure and a new life. He was a painter/ drywall contractor in Williams Lake until his retirement and was well-known in the community for his fantastic work and attention to detail.
He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, and spent many nights volunteering his time bartending at fundraising and social events.
Andre loved hunting, fishing, and camping, and spent many years doing both with his immediate and extended family. The only thing he loved more than nature was spending time with friends and family. He was an outgoing and friendly man, always ready with a story or joke.
We are so grateful for the time we had with him, and will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
