In loving memory ~

We are deeply saddened to announce that Kit Senger passed away peacefully in Williams Lake on April 13, 2024 at the age of 94 with her daughters at her side.

Kitty as she was called in her younger years, was born in Revelstoke B.C. and was the youngest child of May and Donald Johnston. She loved Revelstoke and spoke fondly of the friends and experiences she had as a young girl growing up. In 1948 she left Revelstoke for Vancouver and completed her training as a nurse in 1951. From there she moved to Nelson where she met her husband Kon and had three daughters.

From Nelson, Kit and family moved to Dawson Creek and then to Williams Lake in 1964 and they lived in the Cariboo ever since. Kit was a nurse at the Cariboo Memorial Hospital on the Maternity unit and she delivered many, many babies. She had an infectious laugh and if you walked into a crowded room, you would always know where she was because of her laugh!

In 1976, Kit and Kon moved to Lac La Hache and enjoyed being on the lake and living in this small community. They loved parties, fishing, boating, square dancing, golfing, travelling and the good life with many wonderful friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Kon in 2003 and youngest daughter Donna (Ron) in 2007. She leaves behind her two daughters Lorraine (Larry), and Pat (Jeff) and five grandsons Cameron (Ali), Ryan (Anna), Andrew, Michael, Steven (Selena) and great grandchildren Connor, Evelyn, Flora, Daphne, and Miles. She leaves behind her loving companion Matt Salli who became the new love of her life. He made her laugh and together they enjoyed the lake and fine friends and family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 4th from 1-3pm at the Cariboo Pioneer Center, 4822 Clark Street, Lac La Hache, B.C.
