Alex William Hunter Menzel was born on February 9, 2010 and passed away peacefully on November 4, 2011 in his parent’s arms after a courageous battle with Menkes Disease at Canuck Place, Vancouver.
He is survived by his parents Brittany Macdonald and Shawn Menzel; big sister Mika; grandparents Dawn Chappell (Graham Reid); Kevin and Pat Macdonald. Alex is also survived by his Uncle Colin (Lori), aunties Nikki Macdonald and Melissa Macdonald (Dan) and Tanya Menzel as well as numerous cousins and great aunts and uncles.
In his short life he has taught us many things that most people take a lifetime to learn.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Compassionate Care Funerals, 180 Comer Street, Williams Lake, BC with David Wilson celebrant. Alex’s family asks that this be a celebration of his life and to please wear bright coloured clothing.
