June 1, 1928 - December 16, 2021
It is with deep sadness we said goodbye to our Dad, Granddad, Great Grandad, and friend to many. He was 93.
Dad was predeceased by the love of his life, Joan in December of 1984. As well as his parents Albert and Katherine, sister Evaline and brother Robert.
He leaves behind his eldest son, Colin(Ruth) and daughters Lesley(Gordon) and Valerie(Lonny) as well at 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Dad was born in Carshalton, England in 1928 and married Joan in 1950. They then immigrated to Canada in December of 1955. They lived in Kitimat and Prince George where Dad worked for Finning Tractor.
In 1962 they moved to Williams Lake and Dad started his own business delivering bread and milk door to door for 17 years. His final employ before retirement in 1997 was as Custodian for SD #27.
Dad loved Williams Lake and his many friends he met over the years.
In retirement, Dad discovered golf. He could be found up at the golf course bright and early every day. He later took up curling that turned out to be his passion. Dad really loved curling. He delighted in letting you know how many days after golf season ended until the ice went in for curling season.
As requested, there will be no service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Williams Lake Curling Club or The Seniors Activity Centre, both were special places to Dad.
Rest easy Dad. We love you. We'll miss you.
