Abe was born on May 26,1937 in Winnipeg, Manitoba when the family resided in LaSalle. The family moved to Winnipegosis in 1939 and on to BC in 1943.
Abe worked as a deck hand on tugboats and cruise ships on the BC coast for several years before moving to the Cariboo-Chilcotin in the mid-fifties. He worked as a sawyer/millwright for several of sawmill/planermill operation around the Williams Lake area. He spent his retirement years in Kamloops and Okanogan Falls and recently moved back to Williams Lake.
Abe passed away on April 10, 2022 with three of his four children by his side. Abe was predeceased by his wife Betty, his partner Dallas, his mother and father, his four sisters and five brothers. His survivors include four children, Bernnadet, Rick, Karen, and Nancy; one sister Mary, and one brother Dave; as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He will be sorely missed by many.
Abe was a very free spirit and danced to his own music.
