It was a working weekend for all five of these B.C. Livestock Co-op employees as the Williams Lake stock yards hosted the first-ever Pacific Invitational All Breeds Female Sale on Saturday, Oct. 1. Thirty different purebred breeders (various breeds) from around the province each contributed one or more quality heifer calf or bred-heifer/or cow (under four years old) to the sale. Wade McNolty of B.C. Livestock (far right) acknowledges a new bid with a smile and a nod of his head to the bidder while waving his sale catalogue to alert the auctioneer (Wayne Jordan). Wilf Smith is also working the sale-ring while Connie Jasper records the sale data/information and Wayne Pincott (auctioneer) takes telephone-bids. For story, see page A5.
