Williams Lake Stampede named one of the top 10 rodeos by USA Today readers

The Williams Lake Stampede has recently been named as the seventh top rodeo in all of North America by USA Today readers.

USA Today 10Best published their top 10 winners in the category Readers’ Choice Best Rodeo. The recognition received is further bolstered by the fact that Williams Lake was the only Canadian entry on the list.

USA Today highlighted the annual rodeo by showcasing the “Greatest Show on Dirt” and the multitude of activities and events that take place over the Canada Day Weekend, such as the Stampede Queen pageant, the pancake breakfast, the numerous live music performances, as well as the parade and the rodeo itself.

The top 10 Best Rodeo winners by USA Today readers are:

1. Dodge City Roundup Rodeo – Dodge City, Kansas

2. World’s Oldest Rodeo – Prescott, Arizona

3. Reno Rodeo -Reno, Nevada

4. Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo – Fort Worth, Texas

5. Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo – Houston, Texas

6. Greeley Stampede – Greeley, Colorado

7. Williams Lake Stampede – Williams Lake, British Columbia

8. National Western Stock Show and Rodeo – Denver, Colorado

9. Tucson Rodeo – Tucson, Arizona

10. Cheyenne Frontier Days – Cheyenne, Wyoming

This year marked 92 years for the annual Williams Lake Stampede that was held over Canada Day weekend.
