Two males are in custody and will appear in court Monday after they were arrested following an armed home invasion in Williams Lake.
On Sunday, July 14 at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Williams Lake RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion on Mackenzie Avenue.
The investigation revealed that two suspects forced their way into a residence armed with pepper spray and a firearm, demanding items.
After a brief skirmish with the occupants, the suspects fled.
Moments later the police identified a nearby residence where the suspects were located and arrested without incident.
The weapons were recovered. Both suspects are presently in custody and well known to police.
Police are still investigating and it is anticipated the suspects will appear in court later today for charges relating to break and enter and weapon and firearms offences.
