Williams Lake RCMP ask the public to be vigilant after rural mailboxes vandalized.

Four suspects were taken into custody Wednesday morning, Sept. 28 at about 8:30 a.m. following a report to the Williams Lake RCMP about a break and enter in progress.

The arrest took place on Dog Creek Road just as families were dropping their children off at the nearby Mountview Elementary School.

Witnesses on scene at the time said police stopped a pickup truck on Dog Creek Road, yelling to the occupants to get out of the vehicle with their hands up.

Staff Sgt. Del Byron confirmed the arrest noting it was connected to a property known to police in a nearby mobile home park.

Byron said that a tenant had been evicted from the residence a week earlier.

Charges of break and enter with intent are being considered against the suspects, Byron said.
