Wet weather causes Tolko curtailment

For the second time in as many months Tolko’s Lakeview division has undergone a temporary curtailment.

For the second time in as many months Tolko’s Lakeview division has undergone a temporary curtailment.

It began Monday, July 25 due to wet weather conditions in the woods and company officials say they don’t know when it will reopen but suggest it will be as soon as they can.

The company says it is still bringing logs into its yard.

Lakeview’s planer remains operational; maintenance crews are working in the sawmill and log yard crews are receiving log deliveries. However, the bulk of the remainder of the mill workers are off the job.
