Williams Lake RCMP have asked the West Vancouver Police Department to investigate the circumstances surrounding an arrest that resulted in injuries to a suspect.
On July 21, a vehicle pursuit was initiated in the Quesnel RCMP detachment area which carried on into the Williams Lake area.
The 35-year-old suspect was eventually located and arrested. He sustained injuries during the arrest and is currently still in hospital, according to an RCMP news release issued Friday.
The Commission for Public Complaints Against the RCMP has also been notified.
The West Vancouver Police Department has agreed to conduct the investigation into this incident.
