Update: Stolen Cherokee Jeep found Friday on Hodgson Road

The dark green 1998 Jeep Cherokee stolen from Fifth Avenue North in Williams Lake was found Friday on Hodgson Road.

A 1998 dark green Jeep Cherokee was stolen from the 200 block of Fifth Avenue North sometime overnight on May 22, or early morning May 23 was found Friday on Hodgson Road.

Owner Diane Toop said Monday her brother spied the vehicle on his way home from golfing, although one of the seats was on fire.

As it was her only vehicle, Toop said a friend has lent her one to use in the meantime.

Original article:

Toop said there is a black leather "bra" across the front, and a roof rack. The license plate number is 759 HXP.

Toop last saw her vehicle around 9 p.m. Wednesday and noticed when the vehicle was gone Thursday morning that the rear driver side window may have been smashed out because shards of tinted window glass were lying on the driveway.

Williams Lake RCMP Insp. Warren Brown said Thursday around noon that there are no suspects at this time.
