The Clinton RCMP said Tuesday afternoon the 70 Mile House girl who went missing Monday has been located safe and unharmed in Williams Lake.

The RCMP are looking for a 12-year-old girl from 70 Mile House who was reported missing Monday and may be in Williams Lake.

“During the early morning hours of Monday May 5, Clinton RCMP received a complaint that Shyla Billy had gone missing from her residence in the 70 Mile House area, north of Clinton,” the RCMP said in a press release.

“It is believed Shyla was given a ride to Williams Lake where she is believed to be at this time,” Clinton RCMP Corp. Mike Eling said. “She is originally from Williams Lake.”

Billy is a First Nations female, approximately five feet four inches, 124 pounds and is likely wearing a grey jacket and black sweater.
