The Williams Lake RCMP have located an elderly man who was reported missing Sunday evening.

After a few hours of searching, Brian Hinton, 80, was located on a wooded trail a few kilometres from his home by Corp. Rutherford and RCMP police dog Clive, RCMP said early Monday.

Hinton was reported to be in good spirits and was treated on scene for suspected hypothermia before being transported to the Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake.

"Mr. Hinton is expected to make a full recovery," RCMP said.

In a press release the RCMP thanked the Williams Lake Search and Rescue team, 150 Mile fire department, friends and neighbours for their swift response and assistance in a successful search.

The Williams Lake RCMP are requesting the public's assistance locating a missing elderly male from the 150 Mile area.

Brian Hinton, 80, reportedly went for a walk this afternoon with his black and white Boarder Collie and did not return, RCMP said Sunday evening. Hinton lives at 3087 Heinie Place, 150 Mile and is said to be in the early stages of Alzheimer's.

Hinton was last seen on his property around 4 p.m. Sunday, March 9,  and was wearing a green sweater, blue jeans and light hiking shoes. He is described as five feet five inches, weighing 135 pounds, bald with blue eyes.
