A 19 year old driver and his male passenger escaped serious injury after the Volkswagen Jetta they were travelling in rolled Friday afternoon.

The incident took place at about 2:30 p.m. on the Bond Lake Road.

The vehicle was northbound heading toward Dog Creek Road when the accident occurred.

As it rounded one of the last corners on the dirt road, the car went off on the right side, rolled and landed on its roof in amongst some trees down the bank.

Members of the Williams Lake RCMP, Williams Lake Fire Department and BC Ambulance attended the scene after a passerby stopped to see if the males needed help and called 9-1-1.

Other than a bit of a knock to his left knee, the driver said he was feeling OK.
