Trustees receive committee appointments

School District 27 trustees were given their respective committee appointments by board chair Will Van Osch Tuesday, Jan. 10.

School District 27 trustees were given their respective committee appointments by board chair Will Van Osch in a special board meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 10.

Patricia Baker serves as vice-chair.

The finance committee includes chair Doug Neufeld, Jackie Austin, and Tanya Guenther.

The education committee includes chair Sheila Boehm, Patricia Baker, and Austin.

The policy committee includes chair Tanya Guenther, Baker, and Neufeld.

The First Nations Education Council appointees are Guenther and Joyce Cooper.

The Environmental Stewardship Committee includes Austin (chair), Neufeld, and Van Osch.

The Williams Lake Joint Use Committee representatives are Cooper and Neufeld.

Cooper will serve as the B.C. School Trustees Association provincial council representative. Guenther will serve as the alternate.

Boehm will serve as B.C. Public School Employers’ Association representative.

Austin will serve as the alternate.

Boehm will serve as School District 27 District Parent Advisory Council liaison representative. Austin will be the alternate.

The International Union of Operating Engineers liaisons are Van Osch, Boehm, and Cooper.

The Cariboo Chilcotin Teachers’ Association liaisons are Guenther, Boehm, and Cooper.

The Cariboo Chilcotin Principals/Vice-principals’ Association liaisons are Van Osch (contact), Guenther, Baker, Austin, Boehm, and Cooper.

The next regular public meeting of the School District 27 board will be on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. in the Williams Lake board room on Second Avenue.
