Thompson Rivers University’s ranching program welcomed its third cohort of students at orientation week Aug. 27-31 in Williams Lake.
Fourteen people helped to host student field trips or volunteer at the classroom welcoming session, according to a news release.
Fifteen ranches are set to host students throughout the year. Nine students are currently residing in host ranches.
The Applied Skills and Diversification course is currently underway, running Sept. 4 to Nov 25.
The Sheep Production course is the only second-year course offered this fall. It will run from Oct. 15 to Nov. 25.

• Sustainable Business Enterprise (ASUR 1020) - 15 students (so far)
• Environmentally Sustainable Ranching (ASUR 1030) - 18 students (so far)
• Applied Skills and Diversification (ASUR 1040) - 14 students
