Update: Thunderstorm warning ended for Williams Lake, Horsefly

The storm brought a lot of rain to the area

Update: This warning has ended

At 3:09 p.m. Wednesday, June 21 Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.

This thunderstorm is 10 km northwest of Big Lake Ranch. It is moving to the southwest at 20 km/h towards Highway 97 near Soda Creek.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.

Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
