Teenagers recovering from serious assault

Police investigate serious assault on lakecity teens

Two lakecity teenagers are recovering from a serious assault that took place in Williams Lake late Tuesday afternoon.

According to Staff Sgt. Del Byron of the Williams Lake RCMP, the 13 and 17-year-old victims were assaulted in the hallway of an apartment complex located at 665 Carson Drive just before 6 p.m. Tuesday.

"We were worried initially," Byron said of the condition of the youth, one of whom was unconscious for a period of time.

The two have since been released from hospital however and are recovering from their injuries.

The matter is under investigation by police.
