The Cariboo Regional Talk Trash open houses begin today.
The first will be held in Williams Lake on Tuesday, Sept. 13 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the CRD board room.
Twelve other meetings will be held in different areas of the region.
The open houses are to allow residents to learn more and have their say about proposed options for future recycling and composting programs, as well as improvements to transfer stations and landfills. The open houses are part of the CRD’s process to update the region’s solid waste management plan, as required by the Ministry of Environment.
The next meeting, after the one in Williams Lake, will be held in Quesnel tomorrow.
